From a single Delhi office to a name trusted across two cities
N C Kumbhat & Co was founded in 1970 by N C Kumbhat, FCA — a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India who built his reputation on tribunal-level tax litigation at a time when very few practitioners would take on the Income Tax Department directly.
What started as one partner's commitment to doing rigorous, honest work has grown into a CAG-empanelled firm with offices in Delhi and Kolkata — without ever losing the thing that made it work in the first place: clients deal directly with partners, not with a rotating cast of juniors.
Today, the second and third generations of the Kumbhat family — alongside partners who have spent decades earning their own reputations — continue that same practice: understanding a business thoroughly before advising on it, and standing behind that advice when it's tested.
